G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) is a day for Arizona to join forces and promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. G.A.I.N. showcases the importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight for a safer nation. On G.A.I.N. day (3rd Saturday in October), we invite neighborhoods to come together and make their community a safer, better place to live.
We invite all neighbors to join us in Coronado Park (13th Street and Palm Lane) on October 19 from 10am to 3pm for a fun day of activities and information showcasing some of the amazing things Coronado has to offer. We hope all attendees will use this day to learn something new about our neighbors, find ways to get involved, meet new friends, and most of all just have some fun!
We are calling all neighbors to come out and take part in this day. If you have a special talent or skill to offer, let us know! We want to make sure we are showcasing all of what Coronado has to offer!
No event just happens on its own, we will need manpower for everything from planning to executing to cleaning up.
We are looking for volunteers especially in the following areas:
We are calling all Coronado businesses, organizations, and groups to set up your own information table, demonstration, activity, or display and showcase what you are all about! This event is BYOB (Bring your own booth!) but let us know if you need assistance and we will be happy to help brainstorm and/or crowdsource what you need to make your presence a success!
